Three face drug charges in Kinston

Three people are facing drug charges today from two separate arrests in Kinston.

Narcotics detectives from the Kinston Department of Public Safety said today they arrested Tanitta Shanay Lee and Jemela Nichele

Moore, both of 306 E. Washington St Kinston during a vehicle stop. Lee's drivers license was revoked, detectives said.

Lee was arrested and searched, when detectives found cocaine and marijuana in her possession, according to a news release. Moore was also arrested on cocaine and marijuana charges.

Lee, who was jailed under a $12,700 secure bond, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, two counts of maintaining a vehicle, two counts of simple possession of marijuana and one count of possession of drug paraphernailia.

Moore, who was jailed under a $3,300 secure bond, was charged with possession of cocaine and simple possession of marijuana.

A 2003 Toyota Corolla was also siezed.

In a separate case, detectives arrested Elston Johnson, of 516 Larkspur Road, and charged him with posession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and resist, obstruct and delay. Johnson was jailed under a $1,000 secure bond.
