Hubert men face additional charges in Carteret
PELETIER — Two Hubert residents face burglary charges related to break-in that occurred two months ago at a Carteret County business, authorities said.
Cody William Radford, 19, of 235 Parrot Swamp Road, and Niklaus Walter Froehlich, 22, of 150 Sandridge Road, were arrested Wednesday by the Carteret County Sheriff's Office in connection with the Jan. 27 burglary of Peletier General Store on N.C. 58, according to a sheriff's office news release.
The two men are accused of breaking the front door glass to enter the building and stealing cartons of cigarettes valued at more than $400, the sheriff's office said.
After a six-week investigation between both the Carteret and Onslow County Sheriff's Office, the two were arrested and charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny, possession of stolen goods, and conspiracy, the release said.
The two also face numerous other felony charges in Onslow County for breaking and enterings there, Carteret authorities said.
