Havelock Police are seeking to identify three people who may have committed several larcenies at the Wal-Mart in Havelock recently.
According to a release from the city, the thefts apparently took place on April 2 at approximately 7 p.m. when two men and one woman, all African-American, entered the superstore and appeared to begin taking electronic equipment.
Police said over the course of two hours, one of the suspects made four trips to a vehicle in the parking lot and placed an undetermined number of items in the vehicle.
According to the release, store video didn’t show any other the three passing through check out lines.
It was later determined that two Blue Ray DVD players and GPS devices were found to be missing from the store.
The empty boxes for the devices were later to be found in various locations in the store, according to the release.
Police said that it appeared that the female suspect used a baby carrier in a shopping cart to conceal the goods.
The vehicle they used was described as a black or dark-colored Nissan or Toyota.
