Havelock police seek help with break-ins

Havelock News

The Havelock Police Department is seeking information about a string of vehicle break-ins near the Greenfield Heights Boulevard area.

Police report 18 vehicle break-ins on Nov. 11 and 12 on Apache Trail and Blackhawk Trail, according to a release. The investigation has revealed that all 18 vehicles were not locked, and the suspect or suspects did not use force to get inside the vehicles.

GPS units, stereo face plates, cell phones, iPods, a Nintendo DS game system, other electronic items, wallets and cash were taken from the vehicles, according to the release.

According to the release, all leads in the case have been exhausted, so police are seeking help from the public.

Anyone with any information on the break-ins can contact Investigator James MacRoberts or Investigator Chris Morning at the Havelock Police Department at 447-3212. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call the police tip line at 463-7115 or use the online tip Website at www.havelocknc.us by selecting police and then selecting tip line.
