Area pool ratings

The following pool ratings were conducted by the Kinston Health Department. Pools are graded on a demerit system. Any six-demerit item will prevent the pool from receiving a permit. A combination of four and two-demerit items could prevent a pool from receiving a permit (this is left to the discretion of the Kinston Health Department).

Pool floor - some debris, some bad repair spots. (-4)
Some deck spots in bad repair. (edges of pool side). (-4)
Bathroom fixtures - repair needed. (-2)
Bathroom stalls, floors/walls/ceiling - cleaning/repair needed. (-2)

Have sign shop fix sign: (One inch letters) "Children should not use the swimming pool without adult supervision" and "Adults should not swim alone".
