Area crime reports

The following incidents were reported to the Kinston Department of Public Safety and the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office:

On July 13, a woman on East Highland Avenue, Kinston, reported someone broke into her residence and stole a Nintendo Game Cube gaming system. The system is valued at $400.
On July 18, a woman on Dobbs Farm Road, Kinston, reported someone stole her Kia Sephia automobile. The car is valued at $2,500.
On July 17, an employee of Mallard Food Shop on U.S. 70 West, Kinston, reported someone drove off without paying for $5 in gasoline.
On July 16, a woman on Trent Circle, Deep Run, reported someone was making threatening phone calls.
On July 17, a woman reported someone stole a collapsed rubber swimming pool from a residence on Washington Street, Kinston. The pool is valued at $350.
