Accident reports

The following accidents were reported by the State Highway Patrol:

Accident time/location: Nov. 15, 4:43 a.m., 1 mile north of La Grange on U.S. 70.

Driver: Kevin Lee Lundquist, 19, 673 Community Drive, Goldsboro, in a 2003 Ford.

What happened: Lundquist was traveling east on U.S. 70. The vehicle ran off the road on the left, came back onto the road and then ran off the road on the left again. The vehicle then collided with the median cable and came to rest in the median. The vehicle was moved next to the roadway prior to trooper's arrival. Note: Driver stated that a deer ran in front of his vehicle.

Damages: Damages to the vehicle were estimated at $3,500.

Injuries: None reported.

Charges. None

Accident time/location: Nov. 14, 4:57 a.m., .3 miles west of Pollocksville on U.S. 17.

Drivers: Kendrick Joshea Brown, 28, 144 Hawthorn Lane, Pollocksville, in a 2005 Chevrolet;

           Ronald Mitchell Dennis, 53, 145 Magnolia Lane, Trenton, in a 2001 Chevrolet.

What happened: Brown was traveling north on U.S. 17. Dennis was traveling south on U.S. 17. Brown went left of center and sideswiped Dennis's vehicle, ran off the road on the left and came to final rest facing north in the southbound lane. Dennis's vehicle came to final rest facing north in the northbound lane.

Damages: Damages to Brown's vehicle were estimated at $4,000;

              Damages to Dennis's vehicle were estimated at $2,000.

Injuries: None reported.

Charges: Brown was charged with driving left of center, careless/reckless driving.

Accident time/location: Nov. 9, 10:00 p.m., 1.5 miles northwest of Kinston in the parking lot of Kinston Regional Jetport.

Driver: Unknown

What happened: Driver one was traveling south in the Jetport parking lot. The vehicle ran off the road on the right and struck a mail box. Driver one then continued driving south and struck a fence. Driver one left the scene after impact.

Damages: Damages to KRJ property were estimated at $2,000.

Injuries: None reported.

Charges: None.
