Incident reports

The following incidents were reported to the Kinston Department of Public Safety and the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office:

 

On Sept. 29, a man on Elijah Loftin Road, Kinston, reported someone broke into his residence and stole the following: A jewelry box valued at $15, gold necklaces valued at $50, a diamond ring valued at $200, and two class rings valued at $300 each.

On Sept. 29, an employee of Dollar General on N.C. 11/55, Kinston, reported someone assaulted a clerk and shoplifted household goods valued at $334. Goods valued at $134 were recovered. The case is under investigation.

On Sept. 29, a woman on Pershing Terrace, Kinston, reported someone broke into her residence and stole the following: Shoes valued at $85 and sports/recreational equipment valued at $200. Damages to a door were estimated at $250.

On Sept. 29, a man on Mill Road, Grifton, reported someone broke into his residence and stole the following: Sports equipment valued at $200, a radio valued at $275, and a computer valued at $300.

On Sept. 29, a woman on Bailey Park Lane, Kinston, reported someone hit her with their hands, resulting in minor injuries.

On Sept. 29, a woman on Nobles Mill Road, Deep Run, reported someone stole the following from her residence: A Toshiba lap top computer valued at $800 and a .38 caliber pistol valued at $200.

On Aug. 18, a woman on Water Chestnut Drive, Kinston, reported someone assaulted her.

On Sept. 23, a woman on Pauls Path Road, Kinston, reported someone stole his 1996 Cadillac Deville. The vehicle is valued at $5,000.

On Sept. 23, a man reported the following tools were stolen from work trailers: A metal bender, two 100ft drop cords, and a 10-speed bicycle (black/red). No values were available.

On Sept. 23, a man on Caprice Drive, Kinston, reported someone broke into his residence and stole the following: Three sofas valued at $100 each, a dinning room table valued at $100, a Panasonic 19" TV valued at $35, a Magnavox 27" TV valued at $50, and a riding lawn mower valued at $800.

On Sept. 30, a woman reported someone shot her with a BB gun, resulting in minor injuries. The incident occurred at a school on East Bright Street, Kinston.

On Sept. 30, a man on Marcella Drive, Kinston, reported somene stole an air conditioner from the rear window of her residence. The unit is valued at $275.

On Sept. 30, an employee of Sale BMW reported someone scratched two BMW automobiles. Damages were estimated at $8,000.
