Incident reports
The following incidents were reported by the Kinston Department of Public Safety and the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office:
On Nov. 1, a man reported someone broke into a church on West Vernon Avenue and stole a HP laptop computer. The computer is valued at $700. Damages to a back door were estimated at $35.
On Oct. 30, a woman on South Wooten Street, La Grange, reported someone broke into her residence. Damages to an entertainment center were estimated at $100; damages to a door and frame were estimated at $200; damages to an entertainment center were estimated at $200, damages to a kitchen table were estimated at $10; damages to a 19" TV were estimated at $150; damages to a glass vase were estimated at $6.
On Oct. 30, a woman on Leland Drive, Grifton, reported somene threatened to harm her.
On Oct. 30, a woman on Indigo Lane, Kinston, reported a case of assault.
On Oct. 30, a man on Nobles Mill Road, Deep Run, reported someone vandalized his property. Damages to a mailbox were estimated at $40; damages to a mailbox post were estimated at $92.
On Oct. 30, a woman on Wendy Lane, Kinston, reported her husband tried to strike her in the face.
On Oct. 31, a man reported someone broke into his vehicle and stole the following: Speakers valued at $370, a stereo amplifier valued at $300, and a stereo valued at $300. The incident occurred on U.S. 70 East, Kinston.
On Oct. 31, a woman on Brann Road, Hookerton, reported someone was trespassing on her property.
On Oct. 31, a man on West Boundary Street, La Grange, reported someone broke into his residence and stole the following: A Playstation 3 system valued at $250, a Playstation 3 game valued at $120, and miscellaneous DVDs valued at $1,980. Damages to a window screen were estimated at $50.
