The following incidents were reported by the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office and the Kinston Departent of Public Safety:
On Jan. 21, a woman on East Bright Street, Kinston, reported someone broke into her vehicle and stole the following: A black/grey CD case containing nearly 200 CDs valued at $400, and a blue LG flip style cell phone valued at $98.98. Damages to a wooden door were estimated at $100.
On Jan. 21, an employee of Realo Drugs on North Queen Street, Kinston, reported someone pretending to be a doctor called in a prescription.
On Jan. 21, an employee of Kmart on North Queen Street, Kinston, reportd someone stole two 25-pack DVD-Rs (recovered). The discs are valued at $31.98. The incident was cleared by an arrest.
On Jan. 21, an employee of AG Machinging of North Carolina on East New Bern Road, Kinston, reported someone stole scrap metal valued at $500.
On Jan. 21, a woman reported someone damaged her vehicle while it was parked at a business on Hull Road, Kinston. Damages were estimated at $500.
On Jan. 21, an employee of WalMart on West Vernon Avenue, Kinston, reported a customer stole the following: A BluRay player valued at $258 and a Boost phone card valued at $53.75.
On Jan. 21, a man on East Bright Street, Kinston, reported someone stole $1,400 from his residence.
On Jan. 21, a woman reported someone stole her cell phone. The incident occurred at a business on Hardee Road, Kinston. A value for the phone was not available.
On Jan. 11, an employee of North Lenoir High School on Institute Road, LaGrange, reported a student had a razor knife in the lining of his coat.
On Jan. 20, a juvenile reported the following stolen from South Charles Street, LaGrange: Audio/video equipment valued at $225.
