Incident reports

The following incidents were reported by the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office and the Kinston Department of Public Safety:

 

On March 14, a man on West South Street, Kinston, reported someone stole his vehicle registration plate. The plate is valued at $28.

On March 14, a woman reported someone stole a Samsung cell phone valued at $80. The incident occurred at a restaurant on West Vernon Avenue, Kinston.

On March 13, a woman reported a man pointed a gun at her and pushed her. The incident occurred at the suspects residence on South Adkin Street, Kinston. The incident was cleared by an arrest.

On March 11, a woman on Mays Store Road, La Grange, reported someone stole an air conditioning unit valued at $250.

On March 12, a man on Northwest Street, Kinston, reported someone broke into their residence and stole the following: A Duraband surround sound unit valued at $200, a DVD player valued at $50, a 46" Visio flat screen TV valued at $900, an Emerson 27" TV valued at $200, and a Dell computer valued at $300. Damages to a single pane window were estimated at $50.

On March 12, an estimated $5,000 in damages were reported in reference to a single occupancy dwelling on Green Acres Road, Kinston.

On March 12, a man on Parker Fork Road, Kinston, reported the following stolen: A tailgate valued at $400, a toolbox diamond plate valued at $175, a trailer hitch valued at $25, and bed rail protectors valued at $75.

On March 8, a man reported someone stole a porch. The porch is valued at $800. The incident occurred on Craven Lane, Kinston.

On March 9, a woman on Falling Creek Road, Kinston, reported someone drove over a Mt. Fury bicycle. Damages were estimated at $125. The case status is listed as closed/cleared, prosecution declined.

On March 13, a woman on Dobbs Farm Road, Kinston, reported she was assaulted.

On March 13, a woman on Pinoak Drive, Kinston, reported she was assaulted.

On March 14, a man reported someone stole old farm equipment from a wooded area on U.S. 258 South, Deep Run. The equipment is valued at $400.

On March 14, a woman on Tick Bite Road, Grifton, reported someone threatened her with a large knife. No injuries were reported.

On March 14, a woman on Betty Street, Kinston, reported someone broke into her residence, stole her purse and struck her.

On March 14, a woman on Randolph Farrow Road, Kinston, reported the following stolen: Audio/video equipment valued at $200 and $100 cash.

On March 14, a woman on Fred Everet Road, La Grange, reported someone hit and scratched her, resulting in minor injuries. The case is listed as closed/cleared, prosecution declined.

On March 14, a man reported the following stolen from his vehicle: A Nikon D200 camera valued at $2,500 and a Sony HDV Handycam valued at $3,500. Damages to the vehicle were estimated at $300.
