Incident reports

The following incidents were reported by the Kinston Department of Public Safety and the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office:

 

On March 17, a woman on East Bright Street, Kinston, reported someone slapped her. No injuries were reported.

On March 17, an employee of Family Dollar on North McLewean Street, Kinston, reported someone stole a GPX radio valued at $50.

On March 10, a woman reported her boyfriend struck her car with his car. No injuries were reported. The incident occurred on the corner of Herritage Street and Cox Avenue, Kinston. Damages to her vehicle were estimated at $150.

On March 10, a woman reported someone stole a blue topaz ring valued at $900. The incident occurred at a convenience store on North Herritage Street, Kinston.

On March 17, a woman on Cameron Langston Road, Kinston, reported the following stolen: Jewelry valued at $350; a telephone valued at $100; audio/video recordings valued at $500; a Nintendo Wii valued at $299; a camera valued at $350.

On March 9, an employee of Kinston High School reported suspects were fighting in the cafeteria. The incident was cleared by an arrest.

On March 9, a woman on East Bright Street, Kinston, reported she was assaulted, resulting in minor injuries.

On March 3, members of the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office located counterfeit marijuana on West Railroad Street, La Grange.

On March 8, a man on Institute Road, La Grange, reported someone damaged the center cap on his Acura Legend vehicle. Damages were estimated at $50.

On March 10, an employee of Century 21 Realty reported someone cut and removed copper and aluminum wire from a house that was under construction on Marion Heights Drive, Kinston. Value estimates for the wire were not available.
