The following incidents were reported by the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office and the Kinston Department of Public Safety:
On March 10, a woman on Faith Road, La Grange, reported her boyfriend slapped her on the side of the head with an open hand. No injuries were reported. The case is listed as closed/cleared; prosecution was declined.
On March 10, an employee of Kinston Express Lube on MLK Jr. Boulevard, Kinston, reported someone broke into a drink machine and stole $1 cash. Damages to the machine were estimated at $300.
On March 10, a woman on Railfence Drive, Kinston, reported someone was harrassing her via telephone.
On March 10, a woman on Briarfield Road, Kinston, reported someone was harrassing her via text message.
On March 8, a woman on Nobles Store Road, Deep Run, reported the following stolen: Darvecet valued at $40; a white ruby bracelet valued at $300; a red ruby bracelet valued at $300; a cameo necklace valued at $500.
On March 3, an employee of Al's Seafood on East Washington Street, La Grange, reported someone broke in and stole croakers valued at $62. Damages to a gun lock were estimated at $2.
On March 10, an emplyee of Auto Zone on E. Vernon Avenue, Kinston, reported someone stole the following: A 17-piece ratchet set valued at $17.99; an 18-piece ratcheting breaker valued at $29.99.
On March 10, an employee of Verizon on Hardee Road, Kinston, reported a man stole a cell phone from their store. The Motorola phone is valued at $150.
On March 10, a man reported someone did not pay for taxi services. The services are valued at $19.50.
On March 10, an employee of Wilco Hess on 612 North Queen Street, Kinston, reported someone passed a counterfeit $20 bill.
