Salvation Army kicks off local kettle campaign

Mary Fillingame, right, of Vanceboro, dropped a contribution into The Salvation Army kettle in front of the Belk store at New Bern Mall on Friday. Eric Thompson and Ray Hayes, both fire specialists, were ringing bells to help kick off this year’s local Army kettle campaign.
