The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred in La Grange at about 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Capt. James Oldenburg of the sheriff’s office said the victim, Daniel Lee McCowin, 64, of 210 East King St., was pushed and restrained at gunpoint by one suspect while two other suspects went through the house.

"There are three persons of interest we’re currently searching for," Oldenburg said.

The following items were listed as stolen: a 52-inch flat screen TV valued at $2,500, a .22-caliber rifle valued at $100, a .45-70-caliber rifle valued at $300, a .357-caliber pistol valued at $200, a black wallet with the number “8” on the side valued at $20 and a Visa debit card.

Oldenburg said no other details were available at this time.

Anyone with information that could lead to an arrest is asked to call Oldenburg at 252-559-6112.
