Two polling sites change

Two polling locations in Onslow County have been changed due to problems with the sites.

Voters in the New River Precinct who typically cast their ballots at the Jack Amyette Recreation Center will vote Tuesday at the Department of Social Services Training Room in the New River Shopping Center, 125 Hargett St. The training room is located between Peebles Department Store and the U.S. Post Office.

Due to the recent fire at the Rotary Building in Swansboro, voters in Swansboro will cast their ballots at the Swansboro Town Hall Meeting Room, 601 W. Corbett St., formerly St. Mildred’s Catholic Church.

Polls will be open Tuesday from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Residents should also note that election results will not be broadcast at the Onslow County Courthouse but will be available on G-10 television.
