Names withheld in Sneads Ferry shooting

Authorities have not released the names of a Sneads Ferry couple involved in a weekend shooting that sent the husband to the hospital.

The husband “threatened his wife with a shotgun at which time the wife shot the husband once in the upper torso with a handgun,” Sheriff Ed Brown said in a press release.

The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday after a long night of arguing between the pair.

Brown said when his detectives are finished with their investigation, the case will be presented to the District Attorney’s Office for prosecutors to decide whether charges are warranted.
