California Speedway

The "Inland Empire" of Southern California is as different as it can possibly be from the Irish Hills of Michigan, but the tracks in the two locales are strikingly similar. Driving into the plush infield of this track has been compared to entering Toontown in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" for it's surrounded by an industrial wasteland. It's an impressive facility, though, full of amenities and often frequented by movie stars. If only the track - the actual racing surface - wasn't so generic.
