It's as famous for the exploits of Jackie Stewart and Denny Hulme as Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin. Only Indy exceeds the Glen in history, but upgrades and advances haven't been sufficient to keep up with the times.
Racers seem to have a better time adapting to this layout than the circuit's other road course, in Sonoma, Calif. Yes, it's quaint. Yes, it's historic. Yes, it's trapped in time. And, yes, if International Speedway Corporation didn't own it, it would have lost its date a decade ago.
