Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Not only is Indy the most significant track in the history of automobile racing, it's also the world's largest sports stadium. But recently, those yawning grandstands haven't been filled. The stock-car race here does, however, regularly outdraw the more historic Indianapolis 500.

Maybe Indy just overexposed itself. The NASCAR race is famous for being a predictor of the championship, and it worked again last year when Jimmie Johnson won first the Allstate 400, then the title.
