    Incident reports

    The following incidents were reported by the Kinston Department of Public Safety and the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office:

    On Oct. 9, a man on Buxton Street, Kinston, reported someone broke into his residence and stole Kodak camera equipment valued at $200. Damages to the residence were estimated at $275.


    On Oct. 8, an employee of Mags Pool Rom on East Bright Street, Kinston, reported someone broke into their building and caused an estimated $200 in damages.


    On Oct. 8, a man on Savannah Lane, Kinston, reported someone stole a purple woman's mountain bicycle and a pink girls bicycle. The bicycles are valued at $110.


    On Oct. 10, a woman in La Grange reported someone damaged the passenger window of her Pontiac vehicle. Damages were estimated at $300.


    On Oct. 8, a woman on Neuse Road, Kinston, reported someone broke into her residence and stole the following: Computer equipment valued at $300 and an undisclosed amount of cash.


    On Oct. 9, a woman on Collie Road, Kinston, reported someone broke into her residence and stole the following: Thirty music CDs valued at $600, 99 DVDs valued at $2,000 and 102 pieces of jewelry valued at $1,700.


    On Oct. 9, an employee of Barnhill Construction Company reported the following item stolen from Tom White Road, Kinston: An industrial duty table saw valued at $3,000.


    On Oct. 8, a woman on Tyree Road, Kinston, reported someone stole an X-Box gaming system valued at $180 (recovered) and coins valued at $80.


    On Oct. 9, a man on Dahlia Street, Kinston, reported $200 cash stolen.


    On Oct. 10, a woman on Oak Leaf Drive, Kinston, reported someone entered her residence through a bedroom window and stole the following: A 32-inch Sony TV, a DVD player valued at $30, and Acer lap top computer valued at $600. Blue jeans and a t-shirt were seized at the scene.


    On Oct. 10, a man on NC 903 North, La Grange, reported someone stole a boat valued at $24,000 and a boat trailer (value not listed).


    On Oct. 10, a man reported someone stole a 1994 Green Dodge Dakota truck valued at $3,000. The incident occurred on US 70 West, Kinston.


    On Oct. 10, an employee of Piggly Wiggly on US 258 North, Kinston, reported someone cashed a counterfeit check valued at $4,875.


    On Oct. 9, a man on Northridge Place, Kinston, reported someone stole a lap top computer valued at $600.


    On Oct. 13, an employee of the Boy Scouts of America on Boy Scout Boulevard, Kinston, reported someone broke into an out building and stole the following: A stand up cooker valued at $200 and 30 Rubber Maid boxes valued at $10. Damages to the building were estimated at $50.


    On Oct. 13, a man on Old Highway 11, Deep Run, reported someone did not return his Dodge Caravan. The vehicle is valued at $1,500.


    On Oct. 13, an employee of Mallard Food Shop on West New Bern Road, Kinston, reported someone drove off without paying for $37 in gasoline.


    On Oct. 14, it was reported someone wearing a ski mask and carrying a baseball bat was walking on Bulltown Road, La Grange.


    On Oct. 14, a woman on Cobblestone Road, Kinston, reported someone broke into her residence and stole the following: A 27-inch LG/Zenith flat screen TV valued at $1,200, a Sony Playstation 3 gaming system valued at $400, a Nintendo Wii gaming system valued at $250 and a Panasonic L27 camera valued at $140. Damages to the front door of the residence were estimated at $50.


    On Oct. 14, a member of Southwest Christian Church on Neuse Road, Kinston, reported someone vandalized an exterior concrete bench. Damages were estimated at $200.
