The following incidents were reported to the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office and the Kinston Department of Public Safety:
On Nov. 14, a man on West Lenoir Avenue, Kinston, reported someone broke into his vehicle and stole the following: A stereo amplifier valued at $600, a CD player valued at $225, and a radar detector valued at $172. Damages to the vehicle were estimated at $100.
On Nov. 14, a woman reported someone broke into her vehicle and stole the following: A brown wallet/bag valued at $100, $150 cash, four debit/credit cards valued at $150, and a driver's license valued at $25. The incident occurred at a nightclub on North McLewean Street, Kinston.
On Nov. 13, a man on Eagle Road, Kinston, reported someone hit him with a cane and ripped a telephone off of the wall. The victim suffered minor injuries.
On Nov. 13, a woman on Marilyn Drive, Kinston, reported someone broke into her residence and stole the following: A gray desktop valued at $900, and four gold rings valued at $50. Damages to a window were estimated at $30.
On Nov. 13, a man on North Queen Street, Kinston, reported someone stole a chain saw from his garage. The saw is valued at $1,200.
On Nov. 7, a man on Windsor Road, Kinston, reported the following items stolen from his vehicle: A Blue Tooth headset valued at $60, an XM radio receiver valued at $200, and a Garmin GPS system valued at $200.
On Nov. 17, a woman on Maple Grove Drive, La Grange, reported someone broke into her residence and stole the following: A 41-inch Panasonic TV valued at $1,200, a love seat and couch valued at $900, and a microwave valued at $30. Damages to a door frame were estimated at $300.
On Nov. 17, an employee of Verizon Wireless on Hardee Road, Kinston, reported an employee embezzled $3,516.63. The case is under investigation.
