    Area crime reports

    The following incidents were reported to the Kinston Department of Public Safety and the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office:


    On Aug. 7, a member of Cub Scout Pack 392/Westminster United Methodist Church, Kinston, reported someone stole a trailer from Carey Road, Kinston, that contained the following items: Four gas grills valued at $480, six 20lb propane tanks valued at $240, five ice coolers valued at $100, five Coleman lanterns valued at $100, two tents valued at $60 and miscellaneous camping equipment valued at $500. The trailer is valued at $2,500.
    On Aug. 7, a woman on Cedar Lane, Kinston, reported her 1999 Oldsmobile Cutlass has not been returned. The car is valued at $4,000.
    On Aug. 6, a man on North Herritage Street, Kinston, reported he was assaulted.
    On Aug. 7, a woman on South McDaniel Street, Kinston, reported someone stole her curlers. The curlers are valued at $20.
    On Aug. 6, a man reported someone stole his bicycle from a restaurant on West Vernon Avenue. The black/silver bicycle Next bicycle is valued at $50.
