One-Stop Voting wraps up Saturday

Saturday is the last day for voters to use One-Stop voting to cast an early ballot for the municipal elections slated for Tuesday.

Area One-Stop voting locations are open Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

One stop voting locations include the Jacksonville Commons Recreation Center, 100 Recreation Lane, for Onslow County voters and the Carteret County Board of Elections, 1702 Live Oak Street in Beaufort, or the Western Park Community Center on Old N.C. 58, for Carteret County residents.

While those who haven’t registered yet cannot vote during Tuesday’s elections, residents may register to vote and vote the same day using One-Stop voting.

To register to vote during One-Stop voting, fill out a voter registration application and prove residency by providing appropriate identification with current name and address.

Acceptable forms of identification include: a N.C. drivers license with current address; a utility bill with name and current address; a document with name and current address from a local, state or U.S. government agency; a student identification along with a document from the school showing the student’s name and current address; a paycheck or paycheck stub from an employer or a W-2 statement; or a bank statement or bank-issued credit card statement.

Registered voters can also update an address or change vital information in an existing registration record at One-Stop sites.

For more information, contact the Onslow County Board of Elections at 910-455-4484 or the Carteret County Board of Elections at 252-725-8460.
