Line break causes water outages in Vandemere

Sun Journal

Water customers in Vandemere are having periods of law pressure and outages in their distribution system because of a line break.

The outage was noticed at 10:30 a.m. today.

Officials said they do not know when the water will be restored.

System flushing is required after the line is repaired. The Pamlico County Water Department is asking consumers to boil water for one minute in order to kill disease-causing bacteria.

Be sure to boil water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice and washing hands.
