Two Lenoir County men have been arrested for statutory rape with a 14-year-old girl.

The Lenoir County Sheriff's Office has arrested two men for allegedly having consensual sex with the 14-year-old female in Pink Hill.

Curby Lee Outlaw Jr., 23, of Deep Run, and Jamal Rashad Ndetti, 18, of Kinston, were each charged with one count of statutory rape.

According to an incident report obtained from the LCSO, the initial complaint was made Dec. 19. LCSO Capt. James Oldenburg said the incident was reported by the alleged victim's parents.

"These types of investigations are just as detailed as a homicide investigation," Oldenburg said. "This is a very serious offense, so the investigation has to be thorough, especially since this was a reported crime and not something that our officers responded to."

Outlaw and Ndetti are currently being held in the Lenoir County Jail under a $50,000 bond.
